Less about championing a particular design style or building type, this practice is informed by client enthusiasm and the opportunities it creates to enrich lives through the built environment. Darren is engaged and available at every stage of the process to collaborate, demystify, educate and advise. He delights in clever use of detail and clever navigations of space. Although the core of the practice is architecture, Darren pursues the design at multiple levels, including interiors, lighting and furniture. The result is an integrated environment that is cohesive, intentional and thoughtfully anchored to its context.

Darren received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University in 1992. Prior to opening his studio in 2000, he worked in a variety of architecture firms on both coasts. His experience spans large-scale institutional assignments as well as more intimate commercial and residential projects. He has taught architectural design to graduate and undergraduate students in the Architecture Department at the California College of the Arts and in the Interior Architecture Department at the Academy of Art University.
